Constructed between 1928 and 1936, the federally owned IRS Headquarters Building is a historic seven-story facility within Washington, DC’s Federal Triangle District. The building contains more than 1.4 million gross square feet and houses approximately 2,600 IRS employees, including the Office of the Chief Counsel.
The existing Edwards Signal EST 3 fire alarm system has reached the end of its useful life and replacement is required to ensure reliable emergency notification, improve maintainability, and provide emergency voice communication features consistent with the National Fire Alarm Code and current GSA requirements.

GSA will host a virtual pre-proposal conference to brief Offerors on the project, source selection procedures, and procurement process. A site visit will immediately follow for in-person attendees.
