This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers- Chicago District to inform interested vendors of the district?s intent to issue a solicitation for Flossmoor Road Viaduct Storm Sewer Improvements, Flossmoor, Cook County, Illinois. PROJECT INFORMATION: The Flossmoor Road viaduct has a history of frequent and significant flooding. The proposed storm sewer along Sterling Avenue addresses the flooding at the viaduct by providing increased conveyance capacity and in-line storage for surcharged stormwater. The project limits along Sterling Avenue are located near the center of the Village of Flossmoor (Village); bound on the south of Maryland Avenue and the north by Hawthorne Lane, Sterling Avenue is a residential street connecting the Flossmoor Road viaduct to the new infrastructure along Maryland Avenue and downstream. The work includes construction of up to 500 linear feet of new 72-inch diameter trunk line storm sewer withing the roadway right-of way (ROW), as well as incidental related work, including pavement, sidewalk, driveway, and parkway restoration. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED to SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $45.0 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The requirement is for one (1) year.
