Opportunity Overview

This is a sources sought of Simplified Acquisition Base Engineering Requirements (SABER).  The SABER program will consist of, but not limited to, a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on real property at Yokota Air Base and Off-Base Sites. The majority of projects will be performed at Yokota Air Base but may expand throughout Japan. Off-base sites may include, but are not limited to, the following: a) geographical separated units (GSUs): Narita Air Terminal, Tama Service Annex, Fuchu C.S., Momote Annex, Owada C.S. and Tokorozawa Transmitter Site; b) remote sites: Chitose Auxiliary Annex (Hokkaido) and Itazuke Auxiliary Airfield (Fukuoka).

This Vendor Fair will provide an overview of several upcoming contracting opportunities and acquisition strategies, including:

Introduction 
How to start doing business with U.S. Government
Overview of the New MACC (Multiple Award Construction Contract) Acquisition
Overview of the New SABER (Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements) Acquisition
Overview of three major Open Market acquisition projects (Water Line Phase B, Airfield Light projects, and Tower 3000) that are planned to be competitively solicited
Overveiw of the BPA of Replace Fall Protection Devices, MFH Garden and Tower Units

Government representatives will present general information regarding each acquisition, anticipated procurement approaches, and projected timelines. This event is intended to help industry better understand upcoming business opportunities and prepare for future solicitations.
