2. Description of Work

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for construction services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 36 and FAR Part 13. The U.S. Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract based on the Best Value.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work consists of providing all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment required to perform asphalt and ground repairs at U.S. Coast Guard Station Marathon, located in Monroe County, Florida.

2.1 COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION OF WORK:

Upon acceptance, the contractor shall commence work no later than 10 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP). All work must be completed within 30-60 calendar days of award.

2.2 SCOPE OF WORK:


Prior to commencement of work, the Contractor shall coordinate with DC2 Trace J. Weller at

(806) 786-9677 or Email: Trace.J.Weller@uscg.mil to coordinate removal of obstacles within the facility and obtain site access.


1.   INTENT: The intent of this project is to repair sunken asphalt in front of Station Marathon’s boat house to properly drain water away from the building not creating standing water in front of the bay doors and to repair broken and missing asphalt next to the pier. As well as the rental of a 6k telehandler and skid steer to move sheet pilings and repair damaged ground from prior work. The USCG is seeking timely repairs that are best value.
