Edward Hines VA Medical Center has a requirement for Lumenis BE Digital Trio. This request is a sole source procurement for an SDVOSB company. T The clinical rooms at Hines are quite small and would benefit from the laser's compact dimensions. Retinal treatments are crucial as they address damage to the eye's light-sensitive tissue, helping to prevent vision loss or blindness caused by conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. These procedures include laser photocoagulation to seal leaks, injections to reduce swelling, and surgeries to repair tears or remove scar tissue. The Lumenis system has a dual laser allows physicians to perform all anterior segment laser procedures while recording or taking pictures before, during, and after the procedure. These recordings can be used for training purposes.
