REPUBLIC OF ANGOLA MINISTRY OF PLANNING ACCELERATING ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION AND JOB CREATION PROJECT Loan No.: IBRD-95270 Project ID: P178035 REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION)   Assignment Title: CONSULTING SERVICES FOR PROJECT VERIFICATION AND SUPERVISION OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE, ROAD ACCESS, AND SUBSTATION AND CONNECTION LINES OF THE CAÁLA LOGISTICS PLATFORM Reference No . 96CS2/MINPLAN/26 The Government of Angola has received financing from the World Bank Group's International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Accelerating Economic Diversification and Job Creation Project (Diversifica Mais) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services for Project Verification and Supervision of Construction Works for Infrastructure, Road Access, and Substation and Connection Lines of the Caála Logistics Platform. The consulting services (“the Services”) shall include the technical verification of the design/project documentation, construction supervision, contract management support, quality control, and environmental, social, health and safety monitoring of the works to be carried out for the development of the Caála Logistics Platform. The works to be supervised may include, among others, the construction and/or implementation of the following components: Internal and external infrastructure works for the Caála Logistics Platform; Road access and associated road infrastructure; Drainage, earthworks, pavements and related civil works; Electrical infrastructure, including substation works; Connection lines and associated electrical systems; Ancillary infrastructure and related facilities required for the proper functioning of the Logistics Platform.
