• The Government of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Digital Malawi Acceleration Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for provision of a turnkey solution for the rehabilitation, upgrading, and commissioning of the Central Printing Facility including design, supply, installation and handover for full operational readiness. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
• The Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC) now invites sealed Proposals from eligible Proposers for the provision of a turnkey solution for the rehabilitation, upgrading, and commissioning of the Central Printing Facility including design, supply, installation and handover for full operational readiness. The machines are expected to integrate with Malawi’s existing National ID production environment in Lilongwe and support large-scale, continuous card personalization and the successful bidder must be able to complete installation of machines in Malawi at production site within 32 weeks as follows:
