Haskovo Municipality is an eligible beneficiary under the open application procedure for direct provision of grant aid No. BG16FFPR002-2.004 "Measures for construction, expansion and/or upgrading of municipal/regional systems for separate collection and recycling of biodegradable waste - second" under the priority "Waste" of the Environment Program 2021-2027. The purpose of the procedure is to ensure a significant contribution to the implementation of the requirements after 2023 for mandatory separate collection of bio-waste, to achieve the 2030 targets for separate collection and recycling and to reduce the quantities of landfilled municipal waste. Specific beneficiaries are a total of 78 municipalities from 14 Regional Waste Management Associations, included in Annex No. 8 of the National Waste Management Plan 2021-2028. The application conditions and the implementation conditions under the procedure, published in the UMIS, specify the requirements related to the preparation, application and implementation of projects under the specified procedure. Haskovo Municipality plans to submit a project proposal and conclude an Administrative Grant Agreement (AGFA) as a beneficiary of the project. The subject of this procedure is related to the preparation of a project under procedure No. BG16FFPR002-2.004 "Measures for the construction, expansion and/or upgrading of municipal/regional systems for separate collection and recycling of biodegradable waste-second" from the "Environment 2021-2027" Program. (POS 2021-2027), co-financed by the European Union and the national budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.
