Switzerland – Motorway construction works

The implementation of a speed harmonization and hazard warning system (GHGW) is planned for the national highway sections Uzwil – Winkeln, Neudorf – Rheineck, and Meggenhus – Rorschach. These sections require 31 new signal gantries and 10 new angled masts with a standard spacing of approximately 1 km. Shorter spacing is planned in the vicinity of junctions and the Meggenhus interchange. The following components will be constructed under the "Construction / Steelwork" section: * Concrete foundations with excavation pits, including temporary construction aids * Underground construction * Steel gantries and angled masts * Traffic signal systems and fences * Surrounding area (block walls, maintenance bays, shoulders, etc.) The electrical equipment for the signal gantries is not part of this tender. The client reserves the right to implement only one of the two directions of travel planned in the Neudorf – Meggenhus section in 2025, instead of the two planned according to the master plan.
