France – Cremation services – Délégation de service publique pour la conception, la construction, et l'exploitation du crématorium de la commune de Vendôme (41)

The purpose of this contract is to entrust the concessionaire with the creation of a crematorium within the territory of the Municipality of Vendôme and the operation of the associated public service. The services covered by this public service delegation include: - The financing, construction, and development of a crematorium and its equipment, on land made available to the concessionaire by the grantor; - The operation of the crematorium at the concessionaire's own risk and under the supervision of the grantor, as well as the maintenance in good working order of the equipment installed for this purpose; - The financing, development, and management of the adjacent columbarium, sized according to the crematorium's activity, access roads from the crematorium, and equipment for identifying individuals whose ashes will be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance (Article L.2223.2 of the French General Code of Local Authorities); - The administrative, technical, and commercial management of the crematorium. The service will be managed strictly and continuously in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the contractual obligations of the Concessionaire as stipulated in this contract, including all its appendices. It will ensure equality among all users, notably by granting access to the facilities under the same conditions to all authorized funeral homes, family representatives, or directly to bereaved families upon their request. It will ensure compliance with the principles of secularism and neutrality of the public service. Duration: 324 months from the date of notification
