Grand Besançon Métropole is undertaking the construction of the Besançon Central Library, which includes the renovation of an existing building and the development of the adjacent public spaces. This facility will bring together three currently separate institutions: the Pierre Bayle Media Library (run by Grand Besançon), the Conservation and Research Library (run by Grand Besançon), and the University Library of Arts and Humanities (run by the University's Joint Documentation Service). The Grand Besançon Metropolitan Area is the project owner and is managing the entire operation in agreement with the University of Franche-Comté, for which GBM is acting as the project owner's agent. To this end, Grand Besançon Métropole is considering taking out a construction insurance policy structured around a Structural Damage (DO) guarantee and a Collective Ten-Year Liability (CCRD) and Non-Performing Contractor (CNR) for the portion of the works for which the University of Franche-Comté is the project owner, which is the subject of this contract. The purpose of this contract is to designate the service providers for the insurance contract detailed in Article 1.3 below, from among the public entities that are members of the joint procurement group.
