In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract on a sole-source basis to?The Molding Company, Inc. (doing business as Fort� Products), 4801 Main Street, Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64112. This requirement is being?procured as a single, integrated package. The core PETT Towable Targets and Pontoons will be procured via the vendor's GSA Schedule contract?GS-07F-0224CA, while the inextricably linked open-market portion, estimated at $50,000, consists of specialized truckload freight logistics and foam adjustments Because these foam adjustments directly impact the structural hull manufacturing and the freight must align with the factory production schedule, these open-market elements are not severable from the equipment manufacturer. Splitting these requirements among separate vendors introduces severe risks of voiding OEM warranties, disrupting delivery timelines, and creating disjointed liability.
