That places emphasis on lead times, on the supplier's obligation to hold or replenish stock, and on what happens in a shortage -- allocation, substitution and notification terms are increasingly explicit. Recall capability is tested rather than assumed: buyers ask how quickly a batch can be traced and withdrawn from every facility it reached.
